it's always nice to catch up with long lost friends some time.. there's so much to talk about.. how i wished the day didnt end so quickly. this month is a busy one. so many things on.. christmas preparations, tkk stuff, co practs and the stack of "undo-able" tutorials... sigh.
thankful that i've completed all the entries for the competition yesterday. it had been quite irritating and demoralising when we were coming up with our prototypes. first year we are doing everything by ourselves. there's this sense of satisfaction after the completion that i've never experienced before for the past five years. maybe we just took everything for granted then... that everything will be done for us properly and we wont need to worry about anything... from sourcing of materials to hands- on work. but it's different this time.. and definitely a fulfilling one cos we get to learn more things.. that we had never get to learn before.. the kind of frustration when we didnt manage to get what we intend to do.. those terrible "brain cracking" sessions where we had to think of the simplest ideas cos we did not have the ability to do things professionally though we did have access to machines... but those were sort of "useless" to us because we didnt have the slightest idea of how to go about doing it...
faced many obstacles and problems throughout the course of the whole project. it helps us to grow up from the comfortable and "little rose" kind of environment we have been living in our lives.. where we do not have to worry about any thing... where everything is provided for once we voice out our dissatisfaction..
it definitely bonded us together.. those squabbles that we had about different opinions. those times that we experienced failure and coming together to brainstorm for better ones which are workable and sensible in reality.. complaints about not being able to garner any help.. our common goal of getting shortlisted... all these contributed to the success of every project that we did and the friendship that we established through this... i cant say that everything started out smoothly, but i can sincerely say that i was given a chance to get to know them more deeply and to get to maintain and develop a friendship and partnership among us..
the pics that we took in the workshop on our last day, 7th dec.. they were supposed to be our passport size photos but in the end there was no need for them.. looked sort of retarded actually.. cos the background was the door... GREEN! haha. ahs colour.. =)
