i was going down to nus with my parents to sign the moe tuition grant when my mother commented that nus is very far from my place. the car ride was approximately 20mins and she said " why you dont want to go smu!! nus so far la!" and she was the one who said initially, "aiya, how big can singapore be? go from one end to the other only one hr plus ma. nus very near la." LOL. she was complaining the whole way when we took the mrt from buona vista to yishun that it takes more than an hour to go to yishun. hahah! then i was like, "eh i go to sch by bus everyday leh. bus slower lor." and she replied, "aiya, but bus can sleep ma. one and a half hr very fast one" haha. thats parents for you. their words are always full of irony. LOL. when you think of what they say, sometimes it just makes you laugh.
had my first tertiary level stats test yesterday. so many people came out of the lecture theatre commenting that they can get above 28 out of 30 marks for the test but i thought it wasn't as simple as i thought it would be. MANAGEABLE only ok!? i guess either those people are damn smart, mugged damn hard for the test or they were all tricked by those deceiving difficult questions.
mid term break commences today. i simply took a long break off doing my tutorials and readings. BUT the amount of work to be done is still tremendous. especially when i'm having a project on hand and three coming mid term tests once school starts again. sigh. i thought recess week should be allowing sleep deficient students like us to have a break and not forcing us to study for tests. =(
